Having been a fan of English Laundry for quite some time now, I just couldn't miss the Global Rebels sample sale which distributes for English Laundry, Scott Weiland, Fender, DaVinci and others. I paid a visit to their warehouse in downtown Los Angeles and was surprised to find that I was the only person at the sale, having the freedom to browse through racks and racks of really cool clothes without feeling rushed.
This is an actual "sample sale" and not a let's-get-rid-of-last-year's-overstock sale like some places might have, which means that the selection is from the current production season and the majority of the clothes only come in a medium size. If you're wondering about whether you're a sample sale size or not, for reference, I'm 6 feet tall and on the lower side of 185 pounds (depending on what time of day you weigh me) and the medium sizes fit just right.
The sale featured mostly men's clothing, with only one rack of women's shirts and blouses; so ladies, bring a book if you're bringing your boyfriends because they'll have a lot more to look through than you! A first in sample sale history!
Here are the dates and times for the Global Rebels sample sale:
March 8th: 9 am to 5 pm
March 10th: 9 am to 1 pm
March 12th through March 15th: 9 am to 5 pm
March 17th: 9 am to 1 pm
There's plenty of free street parking and it's not terribly difficult to get to. I definitely recommend going if you want to spruce up your wardrobe for pennies on the dollar.
